Vision Technologies is 2010 Tech Company of the YearGlen Burnie, MD, March 31, 2010 The Chesapeake Regional Tech Council (CRTC) demonstrated that technology is leading the race to recovery as TechAward winners emerged with great success to demonstrate impressive growth and community service in a year hit hard by severe economic downturn. More than 300 technology executives and leaders filled The Westin Annapolis to celebrate the winners and enjoy an inspirational keynote by World Class Sailor, Television Commentator and Author, Gary Jobson. After reviewing the nominees, the CRTC announced that the 2010 Tech Company of the Year Award went to Vision Technologies (Vision). Based in Glen Burnie, Vision provides IT/IP support services to federal and enterprise clients in all 50 states, Europe and South America, focusing on enterprise architecture design and implementation, network infrastructure, security, help desk services, and data center support services. Contributing to the selection was Vision's growth in 2009. Up 57%, from $35 Million to over $55 Million, Vision added over 110 employees. Vision now provides services to IT customers in 18 states on a daily basis, and delivers systems nationally on a scheduled basis for government and commercial clients. A fourteen-member selection committee chose award winners after a rigorous two-month nomination and blind selection process. Top nominees in four categories vied for the honor last night, and one additional award was appointed. Vision Technologies Takes Additional SpaceGlen Burnie, MD, May 1, 2006 Vision Technologies (Vision) has expanded again. The additional space brings the total space for Vision's Headquarters to over 12,000 square feet. The new space has provided room for a working data center, enclosed in glass to enable clients a view of Vision's world-class workmanship and datacenter "best practices." The space also provides additional office space for network engineers, a test lab area for new technologies, and additional warehouse space to support Vision's field staff. This was Vision's fourth expansion in five years, providing space for Vision's expanding work force. Numbering over 120, Vision's staff has grown to provide services to Vision's expanding client base.
