The Chesapeake Regional Tech Council (CRTC) demonstrated that technology is leading the race to recovery as TechAward winners emerged with great success to demonstrate impressive growth and community service in a year hit hard by severe economic downturn. More than 300 technology executives and leaders filled The Westin Annapolis to celebrate the winners and enjoy an inspirational keynote by World Class Sailor, Television Commentator and Author, Gary Jobson.

After reviewing the nominees, the CRTC announced that the 2010 Tech Company of the Year Award went to Vision Technologies (Vision).  Based in Glen Burnie, Vision provides IT/IP support services to federal and enterprise clients in all 50 states, Europe and South America, focusing on enterprise architecture design and implementation, network infrastructure, security, help desk services, and data center support services.

Contributing to the selection was Vision's growth in 2009. Up 57%, from $35 Million to over $55 Million, Vision added over 110 employees. Vision now provides services to IT customers in 18 states on a daily basis, and delivers systems nationally on a scheduled basis for government and commercial clients.

A fourteen-member selection committee chose award winners after a rigorous two-month nomination and blind selection process. Top nominees in four categories vied for the honor last night, and one additional award was appointed.

Vision Technologies Awarded $21 Million Contract with Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration

Vision Technologies (Vision), one of the nation's fastest growing companies, has been selected to provide the Dept. of Energy Western Area Power Administration (Western) with IT Support Services at Western, located in Lakewood, CO and Phoenix, AZ.  Vision, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, secured the award through the GSA VETS GWAC contract. The contract provides Western with IT Support Services including applications software support and development, database administration, call-center help desk support, computer center operations, desktop/laptop support, configuration management, systems administration, email and Internet support, cyber security and asset management.  To help facilitate the delivery of these comprehensive services, Vision teamed with Pacific Western Technologies (PWT).

Vision Technologies Wins Award in $5B GSA IDIQ -- Selected for Both Functional Areas of 10 Year, $5 Billion Federal IDIQ

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) today announced that Vision Technologies (Vision) has been awarded a government-wide acquisition contract (GWAC) that has been set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses.  The GWAC, named Veterans Technology Services (VETS), will enable Vision to provide information technology (IT) services for federal government agencies.  The contract is a five year contract, with one five year option period.  This GWAC is in response to an Executive Order signed by President Bush in October 2004, directing GSA to establish a GWAC for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses.  Vision has been selected to provide support for both of the contract's two functional areas, the Information Systems Engineering and the Systems Operations and Maintenance functional areas.  Please feel free to contact Vision for additional information.  You may also visit www.vets-gsa.com for additional information about the contract and the Vision VETS GWAC Team.

Vision Technologies Takes Additional Space

Vision Technologies (Vision) has expanded again.  The additional space brings the total space for Vision's Headquarters to over 12,000 square feet.  The new space has provided room for a working data center, enclosed in glass to enable clients a view of Vision's world-class workmanship and datacenter "best practices."  The space also provides additional office space for network engineers, a test lab area for new technologies, and additional warehouse space to support Vision's field staff.  This was Vision's fourth expansion in five years, providing space for Vision's expanding work force.  Numbering over 120, Vision's staff has grown to provide services to Vision's expanding client base.
